The exceptionally talented Heavy Metal group Soilwork have released their CD entitled Figure Number Five. I am very confident and happy to announce that I believe Soilwork fans, and Heavy Metal fans alike will be pleased with this one. With the release of Figure Number Five their artistic excellence is on full display as they have once again delivered a brilliant collection of tracks that could very well be their best work to date.

I wish it weren’t the case but, it’s not everyday that I get a CD for review that I can just pop in and comfortably listen to from beginning to end. There is usually a song or two that I just can’t force myself to get through. Not at all the case with Figure Number Five. Every track is enjoyable and was pretty easy for me to listen to from start to finish.

This CD literally grabs your attention right from the very beginning with Rejection Role and won’t let go until the very last note of the very last song Downfall 24, which by the way is another great track.

One of the refreshingly nice things about this CD is the way all of the participating artists seem to be really enjoying themselves. Combine that with the overall presentation and you’ve got one of Soilwork most impressive releases ever.

I give Figure Number Five my highest recommendation. It just plain belongs in any serious music collectors collection regardless of genre preference.

While the entire album is outstanding some of my favorites are track 3 - Figure Number Five, track 7 - Cranking The Sirens, and track 11 - Downfall 24

My Bonus Pick, and the one that got Sore [...as in "Stuck On REpeat"] is track 1 - Rejection Role. Outstanding!
